Ronny Lends His Support To CA State Assembly members

Ronny Turiaf has taken his cause to Sacramento. He has teamed up with California State Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi and Assemblyman Jerry Hill on their bill AB 1647 (Hayashi & Hill) which would require all high schools in California to purchase defibrillators and to provide better basic emergency training for coaches.

Over the past few years Ronny has met with children and families that have had their lives affected by sudden cardiac arrest during a school sanctioned sporting event that lacked effective safety precautions. He has made it the goal of his Heart to Heart Foundation to prevent this when at all possible by donating Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) to local Bay Area high schools.

AB 1647 falls right in line with what the Heart to Heart Foundation is trying to do and Ronny is happy to lend his support in what, he hopes, will become another way to support and protect our student athletes.
